Storskogen acquires GD-Transport

Storskogen has acquired GD-Transport through its subsidiary Såg & betong. GD-Transport is an intermediary for rental of construction equipment and machines, drivers, and construction workers. In 2020, the company generated revenues of SEK 33m.

GD-Transport operates as an intermediary and provides rental equipment and machines, drivers, and construction workers without owning the assets or employing the workers. The company operates from its headquarters in Stenungsund, Sweden, with activities from Ystad in the South to Gällivare in the North of Sweden.

Through the acquisition of GD-Transport, Såg & Betong’s current offering will be strengthened with rental services of construction equipment and trucks. GD-Transport will continue to operate under its current brand and according to Urban Qvarfordt, CEO of Såg & Betong, there are clear revenue and cost synergies to be realized.

“GD-Transport has a strong position and reputation in the market and we are very impressed by Anders and the company he has built. We are proud to finally be able to operate and provide services to our customers within the same organization”, says Urban Qvarfordt.

Anders Lundqvist, CEO of GD-Transport, will continue to lead the company.

“I am very happy and proud to have Såg & Betong and Storskogen as long-term owners. I’m also looking forward continue doing what we are best at and delivering value to our customers but in a new and larger context.”, says Anders Lundqvist, CEO of GD-Transport.

The company will be part of Storskogen’s Business Area Services within the business vertical Infrastructure, for which Niclas Rundlöf Bolin is responsible.

”We are very impressed of the company which Anders has built and successfully operates and look forward continue building and grow the business together.”, says Niclas Rundlöf Bolin.
