JSC "Augstsprieguma tīkls" is set to receive 38.1 million euros from the funds of the Recovery Fund

The Latvian transmission system operator JSC "Augstsprieguma tīkls" (AST) has the opportunity to receive financing in the amount of 38.1 million euros, from the support program of the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Latvia for the modernization of the electricity transmission and distribution networks.

With the support provided, AST plans to build a dispatcher and a secure data center, implement the necessary information technology infrastructure for improving the cyber security of the information system, as well as develop the digitalization of network management, ensuring the planning and management of work modes of renewable energy producers.

 The Latvian Recovery Fund plan has been prepared in accordance with the Latvian National Development Plan 2021-2027 goals, taking into account the recommendations of the European Commission and the recommendations of the Council of the European Union for the stable and successful growth of Latvia. The funds of the recovery fund must be invested in Latvia by the middle of 2026.
