Company Announcement

AS Bercman Technologies 4th quarter and 12 months of 2022 unaudited consolidated sales revenue

The consolidated revenue of AS Bercman Technologies (hereinafter “Bercman) for the fourth quarter of 2022 was 469 549 euros. Consolidated revenue for the 12 months of 2022 was EUR 1.76 million (EUR 76 096 in 2021). As of 2022, the consolidated sales results also include the turnover figures of the Bercman Group's subsidiary Krakul OÜ (hereinafter “Krakul”).

Mart Suurkask, CEO of Bercman: "Despite a challenging year, the fourth quarter of 2022 brought stable turnover in Bercman Group companies, and we were on track with our turnover forecast for the year. Due to the more conservative plans and slower pace of development activities of our clients, the last quarter was slightly down on the previous quarter, which can be explained by the year-end holiday period. Looking ahead to 2023, clients are continuing with planned projects and moving forward with planned activities. Throughout the year, the focus will be on increasing the sales of development services and proprietary products and improving the efficiency of business processes."

In the fourth quarter, smart crosswalks were shipped to the city of Patras in Greece and to the UK. Upgrades of radar software were implemented on the safety system equipment. Cooperation was launched with 1oT, a data services provider addressing the Internet of Things market, for the use of eSIM cards. Bercman and Krakul took part in the Smart City Expo World Congress, the world's leading congress on sustainable urban development, in Barcelona. A German-funded collaborative project "SmartWalk", which started in autumn 2021 and involved a consortium of NATIX GmbH, HITeC e.V. and the Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC) to test innovative artificial intelligence technologies to improve traffic safety, was concluded.

In the first quarter of 2023, smart pedestrian crosswalks are planned to be installed in Scotland, UK and in Rhodes, Creece. We will continue with traffic infrastructure procurements with partners in Croatia, Greece and Finland. The installation of smart safety systems is planned for Kohtla-Järve, Estonia.

In the fourth quarter, Krakul, a developer of the Internet of Things and autonomous systems, part of the Bercman Group, completed a pre-production prototype of the electronic tech layer for its client SportScientia to help top athletes prevent injuries. The tech layers were successfully tested at the Qatar World Cup Center in 2022 and a new development phase will continue with the customer in 2023.

In addition to serving Estonian customers, Krakul exported Internet of Things and autonomous systems solutions to the US, Finnish, UK and Vietnamese markets in the fourth quarter.

Kristjan Tozen, CEO of Krakul: "I’m pleased that together with the Krakul team we achieved the targets of 2022 we set ourselves at the beginning of the year. In the fourth quarter, we started working with two major Estonian companies and a company from the United States. This year we continue with development projects for existing clients and work even more intensively on finding new clients."

The Bercman Group consists of the domestically owned companies AS Bercman Technologies and Krakul OÜ. Bercman is a technology company listed on the Nasdaq First North alternative market and develops and sells its proprietary products. Its subsidiary Krakul is a leading Estonian IoT and autonomous systems developer with a long and diversified experience in hardware and software services.
