The agreement is a natural extension of Nykredit's strategy to strengthen the alliance between Nykredit and Totalkredit's partner banks.
Nykredit and BEC have just agreed that as from today Nykredit will become a new member of BEC. Nykredit will thus intensify its business relationship with BEC and its other members regarding the development of IT solutions within banking.
For quite some time Nykredit has been BEC's largest customer and will increasingly use BEC's banking platform for core banking services to personal and commercial customers. At the same time Nykredit's banking development costs are reduced.
– As a BEC member, Nykredit will actively participate in and contribute to the joint development of BEC's solutions, leading to more efficient and strong IT solutions from BEC to the benefit of banks and their customers throughout Denmark, says Nykredit Group Managing Director Bente Overgaard.
Further, the BEC membership enhances Nykredit's scope for focusing on its own IT development within mortgage lending, housing advisory services and digitisation to the advantage of both the partner banks of the Totalkredit alliance and Nykredit's customers.
– Therefore the membership is a natural extension of Nykredit's strategic objective of strengthening and developing the alliance with Totalkredit's many partner banks, says Bente Overgaard.
As a BEC member, Nykredit will work to ensure that BEC takes part in the consoli-dation of the infrastructure in the sector to the advantage of both banks and their customers.
