On Changes in Liquidation Committee

On 28 May 2019, at a regular shareholders’ meeting, the shareholders of ABLV Bank, AS in liquidation (Company) made a decision on changes in the Liquidation Committee. Given the agreement made upon taking the position, on 1 June 2019 the leading partner of Sorainen Latvian office and sworn attorney Eva Berlaus will resign from a position of a liquidator (last day in position of liquidator – 31 May 2019).
Eva Berlaus was appointed to be a liquidator of the Company on 23 April 2018. The shareholders and the Liquidation Committee is thankful to Eva Berlaus for the job done, highly appreciating her input at the first stage of voluntary liquidation process, compiling the list of creditors and preparing the Company for starting the creditors’ verifications under the methodology approved by the FCMC. Sorainen shall continue supporting the Company through the liquidation.
Sworn attorney Lauma Bērziņa, Doctor of Law and sworn attorney Ringolds Balodis, corporate finance expert Arvīds Kostomārovs and real estate and finance expert Andris Kovaļčuks shall continue working as liquidators.
Liquidation committee shall continue working on implementation of the controlled liquidation plan approved by the FCMC, staying professional, transparent and obeying the law in carrying out not only management of the company’s assets, but also upon ensuring the creditors’ verification applying the methodology approved by the FCMC, which was developed and shall be implemented by an independent international consultant EY.
