CrossChem digitalises AdBlue® production

In cooperation with the Norway Grants programme, CrossChem has set up a new digitalised AdBlue® production and packaging line at its manufacturing site in Olaine. Almost EUR 300 000 has been invested in the project.

The new production and packaging line is part of the project to introduce the innovative and high-quality product AdBlue® EVO. CrossChem has developed specific software to support and monitor the production process. The digitalised production line consists of several sectors, including batch production of AdBlue®, bulk storage and packaging in different container volumes. By developing the production process, CrossChem is getting closer to one of the company's priorities – process automatisation.   

Ričards Andersons, Chairman of the Management Board of CrossChem says: "We are proud that CrossChem is continuing to digitalise – streamlining the daily work of our employees, reducing our error rate and electricity consumption. The new production and packaging line is the final step in the work to bring CrossChem's AdBlue® EVO to market. The new production and packaging line will allow us to supply the market with the required volumes of the product. The plant is now installed and complete, we are testing it and adapting its software."

EVO is the latest generation version of AdBlue®, capable of working under both high load and low temperature conditions. In total, almost one million euros has been invested in the product introduction project, of which EUR 223 000 is supported by the Norway Grants Business and Innovation Programme.
