Company announcement 12/2022 - Herning, Denmark, 26 April 2022 - Re-Match Holding A/S (“Re-Match”), a pioneer within sustainable recycling of artificial turf, has just received a grant of almost EUR 4.5 mill. from the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate in order to support the construction of the company’s first factory outside Denmark.
Re-Match is investing EUR 8,5 mill. in its new recycling facility in Tiel, the Netherlands, which will create approx. 40 new, full-time jobs. This together with the fact that Re-Match’s true turf recycling concept will contribute towards dealing with a significant environmental problem in the country, is now being acknowledged by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate in the form the EUR 4.5 mill. grant (DEI++ subsidy) that will go towards the new Re-Match factory.
When operational, the factory will be able to process more than 60,000 tonnes of waste and save the environment from up to 100,000 tonnes of CO2 every year - if compared to incineration of the turf.
“Re-Match has been very well received in Tiel, and we have had a constructive dialogue with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate - who have now decided to support the arrival of Re-Match,” said CEO of Re-Match, Nikolaj Magne Larsen. “With the location in Gelderland we will be able to offer sustainable recycling of to an area with a high concentration of artificial turf fields - and I am happy to see strong local support of our journey towards establishing 24 Re-Match factories across the world.”
