To streamline its corporate governance model, CleanR Grupa separates off its waste-to-energy business line, forming a separate subsidiary company.  

In February 2025, the group launched the reorganization of Vides resursu centrs, a group subsidiary, by separating off its waste-to-energy business line and forming WasteTech, an independent group entity.

As a result, Vides resursu centrs will maintain its specialization into waste sorting and recycling, while WasteTech will focus on developing the waste-to-energy business direction.

About Vides resursu centrs

Vides resursu centrs is the largest waste sorting company in Latvia. Its waste-to-energy plant project would allow producing heat and electricity, using an overlooked energy source—143 tones of unrecyclable waste generated in Latvia. The planned waste-to-energy plant would decrease Latvia’s dependence on fossil fuels, increasing the country’s energy independence.  At the same time, it would bring Latvia closer to the objective set by the European Union—to reduce the amount of land-filled waste to 10% by 2035.
